Dry Lightning Labs
// software · apps · games
Dry Lightning Labs is an independent studio building software, mobile apps, and video games. We started with an arcade, and that's still the spirit of everything we make.
01 / featured project
Free to play · web + Android
Bitcade is our first title: fifty-one original arcade games under one roof, from space shooters and racers to puzzles, rhythm and story-mode adventures. It's the project that started the lab.
02 / what we do
Code
Custom software and web applications, built clean, fast, and maintainable.
Create
Mobile and web apps from first idea to launch, designed to feel great in your hand.
Play
Original games for the browser and phone, starting with Bitcade.
03 / about
Dry lightning strikes from a desert sky without a drop of rain. You get the flash without the storm.
That's how we like to build. Dry Lightning Labs is a small, independent studio, so you work directly with the people writing the code. Our ideas start as experiments in the lab and turn into software, apps, and games people actually want to use.
04 / founder
Garret spent nearly twenty years as a golf professional. Not the kind you see on TV, but the kind who teaches.
He coached players of every level, ran tournaments for corporations and major charities, and worked USGA and SCPGA events. He also spent years as a master club fitter for every major golf brand, matching players to equipment one swing at a time. Golf taught him discipline, patience, how to handle a bad round, and how to stay steady when things don't go your way.
Games and computers had been his passion since he was a kid. When he and his wife welcomed their son, he decided it was time to chase it. He finished the cybersecurity bootcamp at Fullstack Academy and started building. Bitcade came first, and Dry Lightning Labs grew out of it.
“I want to make things people actually need and want in their lives, things that make their day a little easier or a lot more fun.”
